7. Accommodation and Logistics:
Accommodation on the trek consists of camping in remote areas. Trekkers must carry their own camping equipment and food supplies or arrange for local porters and guides to assist.
Local guides are highly recommended, as the trail is remote, and wayfinding can be difficult in certain sections. The region is sparsely populated, and trekkers may not encounter many other people during the journey.
It is essential to bring proper trekking gear, including warm clothing, as the nights can be cold even during the summer months.
8. Permits:
Permits may be required to trek in this area, especially as it lies in a remote part of Gilgit-Baltistan. These can be obtained in Gilgit or arranged through local tour operators.
Shah Jinali Trek offers incredible photographic opportunities, from the verdant valleys of Yasin and Thui to the rugged peaks and glaciers of the Hindu Raj Range.
Shah Jinali Pass provides panoramic views that capture the grandeur of the mountains, making it a prime spot for landscape photography.
Along the way, trekkers can capture the natural beauty of wildflowers, rivers, and glacial lakes, as well as the simple yet fascinating life of the Wakhi people in the Yasin and Thui Valleys.
