Fairy Meadow is lush green plateau situated in the foot gin of Nanga Parbat at the Western edge of the Himalayan Range. The name Fairy Meadows is part of the legend that Fairies have their heaven on this lush green plateau. This legendry name Fairy Meadows is everlasting gift of the western tourist to the local people. Fairy Meadow offers superb views of the Nanga Parbat (8125 m) the highest mountain in Pakistan in Himalayas. (9th highest in the world) There are several short walks on this plateau, including the full day excursion up to the base camp (3900 m) of Nanga Parbat. It is very easy walk through the forest till then the edge of the plateau call Beyal Camp (3500 m). Whereas the trek from Beyal Camp to base camp is little difficult along the Raikot :
Nanga Parbat is a Persian word, which means Naked Mountain, the local People call Diamer (Monarch of the God). It also knows Killer Mountain among the mountaineers as more 40 climbers have lost their lives trying to conquer it during expeditions. Where local Jeeps will take you up to the Tatto village, it is one and half hour excited drive from Raikot Bridge to the last village of Tatto (2900 m). There are several photo stop on the way up to Tatto, including most impressive view of Karakorum Highway & River Indus from the one of the sharp turn of the road. It would be a great experience to have overnight in fixed camping side, or in the traditionally built wood Huts, which offers magnificent view of the North face of the Nanga Parbat. The Baltit Fort of Karimabad : Baltit fort is situated in the scenic valley of Hunza in the Gilgit Baltistan region of Pakistan. It is Hunza’s most fascinating and iconic location and has consistently been on the UNESCO World Heritage Tentative List since the year 2004. This fort is said to be almost 700 years old. This fort provides a bird’s eye view of the magnificent Hunza valley with the gigantic Karakoram Mountains above .
Khunjerab Pass 4,693, meter (sometimes called Khunerjab Pass) is a high mountain pass on the northern border of Pakistan with China, at an elevation of 4.693m (15,528ft) above the sea level. The Khunjerab Pass is the highest border- crossing in the world and the highest point on the Karakoram Highway. Khunjerab Pastis located in the Karakoram Mountains in a strategic position on the northern border of Pakistan's Gilgit-Baltistan Hunza-Nagar District on the southwest border of the Xinjiang region of China.
Day-01 Islamabad (500-M) Welcome at Islamabad Airport and transfer to hotel on arrival. The city sightseeing tour would include a visit to Faisal Masque / Marghala Hills
Day-02 Islamabad to Chilas : Drive to Chilas on Karakorum highway en route we will stop at Shatial rock carving then further drive to the Chilas arrival in Chilas check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay in Chilas.
Day-03 Drive from Chilas to Tatoo Village 2hrs to Fairy Meadows overnight stay in guest house.
Day-04 Trekking Start towards Fairy Medow Nanga Parbat BC after Lunch back to Beyal Camp Guest house
Day-05 Drive back from Beyal Camp to Chilas continue Drive Karimabad ,Hunza : In the morning after breakfast, we will drive to Karimabad Hunza en route we will stop at the junction point of the three greatest mountain ranges where they meet at one point then we will have a lunch stop at Rakaposhi view point than further drive to Karimabad Hunza arrival and check-in at the hotel. Overnight stay in Karimabad Hunza.
Day-06-07 Karimabad /Khunjarb Pass :Today we shall start our journey towards Khunjerab Pass (4,693 meters or 15,397 ft high). We shall visit the Attabad lake, Hussaini Suspension Bridge, Passu Cones, Sust Dry Port & Khunjerab Pass. Altit Baltit Fort etc…
Day-08 Drive Back From Hunza to Gilgit : Hunza to Naltar Valley to Gilgit : Start our journey towards Nomal from where we shall take a jeep to reach beautiful Naltar Valley and reach there in 1-2 hours. Explore the beauty of Naltar valley for a while. After the excursion, we shall move towards Gilgit from Nomal and reach there in 1 hour, overnight in Gilgit.
Day-09 Drive from Gilgit to Besham/Chilas
Day-10 Drive from Chilas to Islamabad
Day-11 Transfer to Islamabad airport for International flight.
Trekking Gear: Sturdy trekking boots, trekking poles, and a comfortable backpack.
Clothing: Layered clothing for varying temperatures, waterproof jacket, and thermal wear.
Camping Equipment: Sleeping bag, tent (if camping), and cooking equipment.
Personal Items: First aid kit, water purification tablets, snacks, and a camera for capturing the stunning views.
